Alviro Petersen produced a composed half-century at Centurion to enhance his claims to a middle-order berth, but Gibbs' return to the set-up highlights the concerns about South Africa's middle-order inexperience. It would not be a surprise to see him reintroduced, along with the promising left-arm seamer, Wayne Parnell, who made his name during last summer's ICC World Twenty20, but has been out of the reckoning lately with an ankle injury. Charl Langeveldt has a shoulder problem, and could also miss out.

South Africa (possible) 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Hashim Amla, 3 AB de Villiers, 4 JP Duminy, 5 Herschelle Gibbs, 6 Alviro Petersen, 7 Mark Boucher (wk), 8 Ryan McLaren, 9 Roelof van der Merwe, 10 Wayne Parnell, 11 Dale Steyn

England's decision to push Trott up to No. 1 paid handsome dividends at Centurion, and they are sure to repeat the experiment on his old home ground at Newlands, with Joe Denly and Alastair Cook missing out once again. Broad's return will bolster the lower-order batting, and allow Sajid Mahmood to slip out of the firing line after a difficult couple of weeks. Swann could also return as the frontline spinner, although Tredwell remains on standby.

England (possible) 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Jonathan Trott, 3 Kevin Pietersen, 4 Paul Collingwood, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Matt Prior (wk), 7 Luke Wright, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Tim Bresnan, 10 Graeme Swann, 11 James Anderson

The 2nd test day 4 between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Kanpur on Nov 27th 2009. At the end of Day 3 Sri Lanka scores 229 for all out in 1st innings and takes the follow on of 2nd innings and scores 57/4.

Indian cricket's prodigal son Sreesanth returned to international cricket in style with a five-for, and six wickets overall, to leave Sri Lanka staring at defeat in the second Test in Kanpur. Sri Lanka, forced to follow on after tea, were tottering in the second innings still 356 runs adrift with six wickets standing.

Though India's spinners and Sri Lanka's batsmen - the senior-most duo contrived a run-out while following on - contributed to the collapse, most of the work was done by Sreesanth, playing his first international game in 19 months. For nine successive overs in the first session, and for seven on the trot in the second, he ran in hard, hit the deck and found life in a slow pitch. He led the way in the second innings too, removing Tillakaratne Dilshan with a leg cutter, before Sri Lanka started to disintegrate against spin.

Mahela Jayawardene and Prasanna Jayawardene offered some resistance with a 60-run partnership in the first innings but Sri Lanka threatened to implode without much fight in the second. Tharanga Paranavitana was trapped by an arm-ball from Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara chopped a topspinner from Harbhajan on to the stumps.

Yuvraj, who can be an iffy starter against quality spin, faced no problems as he settled in with imperious drives and a few sweep shots. His best was a late cut against Mendis: He had just lifted the previous delivery to long-on boundary and Mendis shortened the length of the next one and got it to skid away from the stumps. Yuvraj went back and played a late slice-cum-cut to the third-man boundary. It reflected his confidence against his previous nemesis and also said much about the state of the pitch and the match.

Laxman, too, looked set for a hundred until he sliced a flighted delivery from Herath straight to mid-off. Till then, he worked the angles well against the spinners, using his wrists to flick and drive the ball, and unfurled couple of caressed drives against the seamers.

Herath gave Sri Lanka some thing to cheer about by striking with his carrom balls. He removed a clueless MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, and Pragyan Ojha with finger-flicked deliveries that broke back in from outside off to hit the stumps or the pad and lured Zaheer to edge to slip.

Not only Herath but Muttiah Muralitharan too turned in an improved performance today. His flight was always there but today the loop and the dip gained potency. India would have been lifted by the couple of balls from Murali that spun and bounced appreciably in the first session and the amount of spin, though slow, Herath and Harbhajan found late in the day. Perhaps the pitch was showing some signs of life. Maybe it was just an oddity. Only time will tell.

It was a run orgy at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur. The first session witnessed a semblance of battle, at least in the first hour, but play for the rest of the day was a one-way street heading India's way. Gautam Gambhir notched up his seventh hundred in nine Tests, Virender Sehwag completed a feisty century, Rahul Dravid was close to his ton and India posted the highest total scored in a day in a Test in India.

On a day like this stat-freaks were bound to have a field day: It was the first time India scored over 400 in a day, it was the highest opening partnership between Gambhir and Sehwag, and even, Muralitharan, at one point, was leaking at over 6 runs per over.

India : Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni (capt/wk), Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra.

Sri Lanka : TM Dilshan, NT Paranavitana, KC Sangakkara*, DPMD Jayawardene, TT Samaraweera, AD Mathews, HAPW Jayawardene†, BAW Mendis, HMRKB Herath, M Muralitharan, UWMBCA Welegedara

India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Live streaming at Kanpur, Ind vs Sl

The 2nd test between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Kanpur on Nov 24th to 29th Nov - 2009. Sri Lanka started brilliantly in the first Test but were thwarted first by Rahul Dravid and then the pitch in Ahmedabad. Momentum is an over-rated word, though, and both teams will start afresh in Kanpur.

Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has been rushed to Kanpur after the Indian team management asked for a last minute back-up for MS Dhoni ahead of the second Test against Sri Lanka beginning on Tuesday. Dhoni reportedly hurt his finger during the Ahmedabad Test which ended in a dull draw last Friday.

Karthik, the Tamil Nadu captain, was in Dharamshala for the Ranji Trophy Super League match against Himachal Pradesh when he got the call on Sunday afternoon. He last played a Test for India in March, against New Zealand in Napier, after Dhoni opted out due to back spasms.

South Africa vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming at Johannesburg, RSA vs ENG

The 1st ODI between South Africa and England will take place at Johannesburg on Nov 20th 2009. England and South Africa shared last week's Twenty20 series 1-1, but that scoreline disguises the staggering gulf that emerged between the sides in the second of the two fixtures at Centurion. Eoin Morgan's unbeaten 85 from 45 balls in the first match had set English pulses racing, but two days later, his effort was put into stark context by Loots Bosman and Graeme Smith, whose world-record 170-run opening stand came from a ridiculously rapid 13 overs.

South Africa vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming

Pietersen, however, has seen it all before - nothing will ever compare to the reception he received on his first tour to South Africa in 2004-05, and on that occasion he responded with three centuries in five innings. Trott, meanwhile, has been one of England's most consistent performers on the tour so far, most recently in the warm-up at Potchefstroom, where he made 78 from 89 balls to overcome South Africa A.

England's biggest concerns are all internal ones, with two players - Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad - already ruled out of the first two ODIs, and a host of key players, including Paul Collingwood and James Anderson, fighting for full fitness. Andrew Strauss, who missed the Twenty20s, returns to resume his rivalry with Smith, the man whom he refused a runner during an heroic but futile century in the Champions Trophy back in September.

That match, incidentally, is a reminder of England's improbable ODI record in recent fixtures against South Africa. With five wins and a washout in their last six encounters, they have a few bragging rights to fall back on, that Centurion debacle notwithstanding.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Day 5 Live streaming at Ahmedabad, Ind vs Sl

The 1st test day 5 between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Ahmedabad on Nov 20th. Rangana Herath got Sehwag's wicket to a slog-sweep, but both he and Muttiah Muralitharan failed to trouble Gambhir and Dravid. The ball turned, but slowly. Both Gambhir and Dravid looked to play as late as possible. Even if they did play back to a fullish delivery, there was enough time to recover. Every now and then, Gambhir would step out and drive from out of the rough, but wouldn't give the ball any time to spin.

During 15 overs of spin, they added 41, without giving any of the close-in fielders a chance. Sangakkara brought back to Dammika Prasad and Welegedera. Prasad beat Gambhir with late movement right away, and five overs later Dravid too poked outside off. Just before stumps Sri Lanka got lucky when Welegedera got Dravid with a late swinging delivery from round the stumps. The ball seemed to be missing leg.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Day 4 Live streaming at Ahmedabad, Ind vs Sl

The 1st test day 4 between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Ahmedabad on Nov 19th. Mahela Jayawardene ground the Indian bowlers into the Ahmedabad dust, almost ruling out a defeat for Sri Lanka in the first Test. This was only the second time that Sri Lanka took a first-innings lead in India, and only the first time they crossed 450 in the country. Jayawardene's sixth double-century, and twelfth score over 150, was one of his easier ones because for more than half his innings India didn't try to take his wicket, and only towards the end was he made to work hard for singles. The bowlers were not helped by the slowness of the pitch and the indiscipline of the spinners, who managed just one wicket in 102 overs, that too a dodgy decision against Angelo Mathews.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Day 4 Live Streaming

Jayawardene was supported by Thilan Samaraweera in the first session, Prasanna Jayawardene in the second and third, and by muddled thinking from India in both. Their fast bowlers couldn't generate any swing, conventional or reverse, but still looked the only ones capable of making things happen. The only blip for Sri Lanka came when Samaraweera was set up by Zaheer Khan and dismissed by Ishant Sharma, but Jayawardene had started assuredly, and never gave India a serious look-in. Despite that Mathews wicket to what turned out to be the last ball before lunch, the Jayawardenes thwarted any hopes of a quick Indian comeback.

Post tea, both sides called ceasefire. Dhoni got spinners to bowl from round the stumps with 6-3 leg-side fields, while the Jayawardenes didn't seem interested in taking too many risks, and were happy scoring in ones and twos and occasional boundaries. In the 144th over of the innings, Sri Lanka ran their 200th single. In the 158th over, Zaheer bowled the 17th no-ball; and India had got only 21 runs from four of their top-six batsmen. While India managed to stem the run-flow in the final session - a total of 108 runs came in 36 overs - it didn't help much because there were still two days left in the match, and Sri Lanka got closer and closer to not having to bat again.

The senior Jayawardene didn't let fatigue get the better of him and reached the double with two overs to go, while Prasanna took the opportunity to move towards what would be a risk-free second century.

India 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Day 2 Live streaming at Ahmedabad, Ind vs Sl

The 1st test day 2 between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Ahmedabad on Nov 17th. Rahul Dravid's 27th century - and tenth 150-plus score - carried more intent than probably any of his Test innings, and helped by MS Dhoni's second century and Yuvraj Singh's seventh half-century, led India's remarkable comeback from 32 for 4 in the first half hour. Along the way, he took part in his 77th and 78th 100-run partnerships (both world records), scored more runs than he ever has in a day's play, crossed Steve Waugh to become the fifth-highest run-getter in Tests, reached 11,000 career runs, and most importantly undid the superb start that two rookies gave Sri Lanka. Chanaka Welegedara and Dammika Prasad were last-minute replacements for Nuwan Kulasekara and Thilan Thushara, but they combined to give India flashbacks of their previous Test in Ahmedabad, when they were shot out for 76 by South Africa.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Day 2 Live Streaming

For Dhoni the accumulation continued. He would walk out to spinners, and place them either side of midwicket, and run. That rattled Sri Lanka's plans, and with single-saving fields Dravid kept finding boundaries. Dhoni was 38 when Dravid reached 100; by the time Dravid reached 150, Dhoni had 85. In that period, Dravid hit eight boundaries, and Dhoni three. Such was Dhoni's efficiency.

Dhoni reached his century with a typical, step-out-and-push, but fell just before stumps, which gave Sri Lanka a glimpse but it seemed to get Dravid - closing in on a double - they would need more than just the glimpse.

India 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Live streaming at Ahmedabad, Ind vs Sl

The 1st test between India and Sri Lanka will take place at Ahmedabad on Nov 16th to 20th Nov. The match will be a day affair starting at 09:30:00 local time.Dhoni also suggested his team would have to change the mental approach to batting, this Test coming after 17 continuous ODIs and five Twenty20s for them. The India XI, though, wore a settled look; Sreesanth and Pragyan Ojha sitting out, and as expected the two Tamil Nadu back-up batsmen not getting a look in.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Live Streaming

Sri Lanka, even though they have played regular Test matches and risen to No. 2 in the rankings, were looking to win a Test in India for the first time. They started off with a slightly strange selection: Nuwan Kulasekara and Thilan Thushara, their two successful fast bowlers, were not on the final list, neither was Ajantha Mendis. Dammika Prasad and Chanaka Welegedara, total experience of four Tests between them, were to take the new ball, and left-arm spinner Rangana Herath playing in place of Mendis.

India 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

South Africa vs England 2nd T20 Live Streaming at Centurion, RSA vs ENG

The 2nd T20 between South Africa and England will take place at Centurion on Nov 15th 2009. The match will be a night affair starting at 14:30:00 local time. A highveld thunderstorm put paid to a potentially gripping finish to the opening Twenty20 but the action before the rain was still thoroughly entertaining in ideal conditions for quick scoring. With Albie Morkel and AB de Villiers in the middle, South Africa would still have fancied their chances of chasing down more than 10-an-over to win, while England's bowlers were clawing back their figures are severe punishment from Loots Bosman.

South Africa vs England 2nd T20 Live Streaming

Not that England were short on boundaries. Eoin Morgan gave another display of his huge talent and Paul Collingwood showed there is plenty of life in the old(ish) dog yet. The tourists' new-found freedom in limited-overs cricket is certainly the way forward. There will be days when it fails spectacularly, but as they learn how to adapt their aggression to conditions it will serve them well.

So South Africa are left needing to win the second Twenty20 to square the series and finish the first phase of this long head-to-head on even terms. They will want to sharpen their bowling skills after they tended to feed Morgan's leg-side strength, but Centurion should offer more high-scoring conditions. The main concern for England is the number of niggles the players are already picking up with James Anderson and Graeme Swann missing training along with Collingwood.

The 2nd T20 between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place at Dubai on Nov 13th 2009. The match will be a night affair starting at 20:00:00 local time. Pakistan won the 1st twenty20 which was held on yesterday and lead by this t20 series against New Zealand by 1-0.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd T20 Live Streaming

McCullum's decision to field was prompted to a degree by Australia's capitulation for 108 at the same venue in May, but it proved a costly one as Pakistan raced to 160 thanks largely to the opener Imran Nazir's 38-ball 58. "We looked at the stats and looked at the pitch and thought it might offer some assistance to the bowlers," McCullum said. "I thought it did that - we just didn't execute as well as what we should've with our fourth and fifth bowler. I think 140 was probably a par score."

In their chase, New Zealand were forced to bring on a half-fit James Franklin as a substitute when Aaron Redmond (who didn't come out to bat) picked up a groin strain while bowling. Despite that setback, McCullum said he believed New Zealand could succeed. "You always think it's a chaseable target. If they had got 300 I'd still believe we were capable of winning. 160 was more than what we wanted to give up, it was more than what the par was but I still believed we were going to be a good enough team to chase it down."

The 1st T20 between South Africa and England will take place at Johannesburg on Nov 13th 2009. The match will be a night affair starting at 18:00:00 local time. England's two-and-a-half-month tour of South Africa begins in earnest on Friday with the first of two Twenty20 internationals at the Wanderers as both sides look to make an opening statement. Having the one-day leg of the tour first means it won't be buried after the main event of the Tests and should retain importance.

The winners will say Twenty20 allows them to build momentum, while the losers will quickly brush off the significance of the matches ahead of the one-day series next week. However, there is still a sense, outside of the World Twenty20, that internationally this format is still the third priority.

England's preparations were going well until their defeat against South Africa A when the batting subsided for 89 all out, while injuries haven't helped the planning. Paul Collingwood takes the reins for the Twenty20s before Andrew Strauss returns for the one-dayers which also creates a slightly disjointed feeling about the tourists' line-up.

South Africa, on the other hand, were hitting their stride against Zimbabwe with a crushing 212-run victory in the second ODI at Centurion. The home side will use the Twenty20s as a chance to give all the players in the squad a run, with the exception of the injured Wayne Parnell, but there is also the need to prepare for next year's ICC World Twenty20. For both teams the next two matches could be the only Twenty20 games they play before that global event in West Indies.

Nov 8, 2009 (14:30 IST)

Australia's Clint McKay performed creditably on debut, snaring three wickets including the decisive one of Tendulkar for 175 with a crafty slow bouncer. One bad game for Hauritz won't put pressure on Australia to blood the rookie spinner Jon Holland.

Two losses have turned the series around and put India under pressure. The home side's win in Nagpur was a comprehensive rout - the batsman piled it on and the bowlers put the stranglehold on the Australian top order and kept up the pressure, the fielders backing them up. In Delhi Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh made easy work of the modest target of 230 on a tough track, often making the visitors appear complacent.

India vs Australia 5th ODI Live Streaming

THE 5th ODI between India and Australia will take place at Hyderabad on November 5. The match will be a day and night affair starting at 14:30 and will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Having levelled the series 2-2, Australia will be full of confidence, whereas the Indian will be looking forward to bounce back strongly. The fifth ODI would be the most important match of the seven matche India Australia 2009 series, as the team winning this match would take the lead and will be just a match away from clinching the series and the trophy.

The series saw Australia getting off to a good start winning the first match at Baroda by 4 runs. But team India bounced back strongly and won the next two games. However the injury hit Australia gathered as a team and won the 4th ODI, thus leveling the series.

Australia is once again into deep trouble with pacer Peter Siddle being the latest inclusion in the list of injured players in the Australian camp. Siddle had conceded only 15 runs in 5 overs in Australia's victory in Mohali and was one of the best bowlers Australia was left with. Brett Lee and James Hopes have already been ruled out of the series because of injury. Also wicketkeepr batsman Tim Paine has been out of action after getting injured during the 2nd ODI of the series. Players Clint Mckay and Moises Henriques have joined the Australian squad and with Siddle reurning back, Australia would be sending another pacer as his replacement.

On the other hand, Team India palyed the last match without key and in form batsman, Gautam Gambhir who was greatly missed in the match. It was a great loss for India who lost the match by 24 runs. However, after going through a fitness test, it is believed that he would be fit for the 5th ODI.

India's main concern would be the in form bating line up of the Australians. Ponting, Hussey, White and even Watson got some runs in the last game. Australia is missing someone like Michael Clarke and Symonds who can take on the attack in the last 10 to 15 overs and help Australia reach a big total. In the last match, Australia lost as many as 6 wickets in the last 10 overs and thus couldn't pile up a huge score. Still it was enough as the Indians failed to provide any resistance to the Australian bowlers and thus losing the match.

The 5th ODI would indeed be a close match, as neither team is favorite for the match. Both the teams would like to win the toss, which would be vital and take the initial advantage. The team which would play well tomorrow will win and have the advantage of winning the series and the trophy.

Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni shared a serene 148-run stand to help India win a battle of attrition on a sluggish track at the Feroz Shah Kotla and take a 2-1 lead in the seven-ODI series. Australia would perhaps rue the fact that they settled for 229 when they batted after winning an important toss.

"A total of 220 should be a good score on this pitch," Ponting had said and Australia's approach while batting reflected his mindset. Their bowlers did pick up three quick top-order wickets to leave India wobbling at 53 for 3 but Yuvraj and Dhoni batted with the knowledge that sufficient time spent at the crease would ensure a risk-free victory. The pitch was slow and not conducive to stroke making but it did not spin treacherously, despite the visibly dramatic wear and tear.
